The Rabbinical Council of Victoria (RCV) has appointed Ari Morris as its new Executive Director.
With a background in law and community work, Mr Morris brings an array of experience and talent to the RCV. His demonstrated commitment to the Jewish community coupled with his successful involvement in private enterprise has equipped him with the knowledge and skills to further enhance the important work carried out by the RCV.
Mr Morris looks forward to developing a number of new and inspiring projects geared towards promoting a greater awareness of the RCV and its activities and to fostering positive relations with leaders of other local communities. He is particularly keen to enhance cooperation among the religious Jewish leadership so as to provide the best possible service to the Victorian Jewish Community.
Rabbi Meir Shlomo Kluwgant, RCV President, in welcoming Mr Morris to his position stated that “we are delighted with Ari’s appointment. We have a number of exciting projects planned for the year ahead and we look forward to working with Ari to advance the RCV’s objectives and indeed to further cement the organisation as the pre-eminent religious leadership body of the Victorian Jewish Community”.
Mr Morris has previously worked as a solicitor at a St Kilda Road law firm and most recently was Executive Officer at the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission. He spent fourteen months studying at Ohr Somayach in Jerusalem in 2007 and is married with one child.
