Queensland Jewish Flood Victims Appeal
Many Brisbane, Queensland Regional, intrastate, interstate & overseas friends & organisations have been in touch with me with regard to ways in which assistance could be offered to Queensland Jewish Flood Victims. We have now established a fund that can be used for those of you wishing to donate cash. Donations are tax deductable. The details are under & on the attached email.
We currently have almost 40 Jewish residences affected in Brisbane. Many have had major damage with flood waters engulfing their homes. Residences affected, albeit in a major or minor way are uninhabitable & will require substantial work. Many areas are without power. Given some of the affected home owners are yet to gain access to their homes repair estimates are unknown. We do know some have flood insurance, but many do not. The disaster is unbelievable. Physical help from Jewish & non-Jewish personnel in Brisbane & other areas such as the Gold & Sunshine Coasts is currently plentiful.
Please pass this email on to your friends.
Apologise should you receive this information more than once.
