  • The following are Kosher Cholov Yisroel when carrying the Kosher Australia Cholov Yisroel symbol: Bocconcini Leaf (Sfoglia Di Mozzarella), Fior Di Latte, Ricotta, Scamorza Bianca & Treccie

  • Riccota (non Cholov Yisroel) is Kosher without any symbol on the packaging.

For those in Sydney wishing to obtain cheese, please contact Julian via the That's Amore website.

  • 3. Coles have expanded their programme of labelling products that appear in the current Kosher Australia Food Guide to include Elsternwick and Bondi Westfield stores. Consumers please note that while every effort is taken to ensure that the signage is placed correctly, things do move around and consumer should recheck with the Kosher Australia Food Guide. Further note that the symbols are an indicator - there is no distinction whether the product is dairy, pareve, mehadrin or non-mehadrin. Again, consumers should always refer to the current Kosher Australia Food Guide as the final arbiter.

  • 5. We are proud to announce that the following Iced Confection produced by Nestle are Kosher certified (Dairy Equipment - see below for an explanation of what this means).
  • Frosty Fruits Tropical (single and multipack)
  • Icy Pole Lemonade (single and multipack)
  • Icy Pole Lemonade & Raspberry (single and variety pack)
  • Icy Pole Raspberry (single)

Frosty Fruits Watermelon & Pineapple and Lifesavers Five Flavour are not approved.

Regarding the Nestle Peters ice cream ranges, Nestle and its suppliers are working with Kosher Australia to include some of the ice creams. At this stage none are Kosher approved. As more information comes to hand, Kosher Australia will advise the community.

("Dairy Equipment" means that a hot product, while pareve in its essence, has been manufactured using equipment that was also used to manufacture hot dairy products where no Kosherisation occurred in between. It is important to note that a thorough cleaning of the equipment still occurs between production runs and there is absolutely no dairy products contained in an item labelled DE. Thus, from the standpoint of the kosher consumer, if someone has just completed a meat meal, he may then eat a product labelled DE. He cannot however eat something labelled DE during a meat meal. Some rabbis however are stricter in this regard and consulting with one's own rabbi for personal guidance is always advisable.)

Wishing you a Joyous and Meaningful Shavuos.
