The Mizrachi Organisation is a Modern Orthodox Jewish Religious entity. It conducts a wide variety of activities in the religious, educational, social and community support fields. One of its entities is Leibler Yavneh College, which consistently ranks as one
of Victoria’s top independent schools, home to over 700 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Reporting to the Treasurers and Executive Management team, this strategic role will be responsible for planning, coordinating and administering the overall financial activities of the organisation, therefore ensuring the high level delivery of efficient accounting practices. Key to this role will be the provision of strategic financial and business planning, budgeting, management reporting and annual statutory accounts. You will also be responsible for the consistent improvement in the quality of services provided by the finance team and commitment to quality assurance.

CA/CPA qualified or equivalent, you will demonstrate extensive experience in the management of budgeting, financial operations, business analysis and systems with the capability of delivering quality finance and support services through high level communication, negotiation, interpersonal and consultancy skills.

As a proven leader you will display strong personal motivation coupled with integrity and expertise which inspires the confidence and respect of others. A strategic approach combined with practical delivery and the ability to manage a variety of complex tasks and project work concurrently is essential to succeed in this senior position.
College Bursar Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this newly created and varied position will be responsible for some financial accounting activity including BAS preparation, the end to end fortnightly payroll process of a medium sized payroll, complex reconciliations, credit management and administrative management.

To be successful in this hands-on role you will possess appropriate tertiary qualifications in accounting and be a creative, lateral thinker with strong commercial acumen. Key to this role will be your ability to influence and resolve issues complemented with strong interpersonal and negotiation expertise and your ability to look beyond the numbers to achieve effective results. You will have well developed conceptual and analytical abilities including demonstrated ability to prepare and present accurate and timely

As a mature and confident professional you will have proven capability to supervise staff and manage a team through a period of change. Excellent verbal, written and communication skills are of paramount importance to succeed in this position with demonstrated work experience in an education environment advantageous.
