Prayers for Israel’s Bushfire Victims

כ"ו כסלו ה' אלפים תשע"א

Prayers for Bushfires in Israel

In light of the devastation caused by the ongoing fires in northern Israel, including the horrific loss of life suffered by forty members of the Prison Service and the dangers facing residents and property, the Rabbinical Council of Victoria urgently requests members of the Jewish Community to continually recite tefillos over the coming days for a swift end to this crisis.

We also encourage members of the community to give tzedaka to assist our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisrael to deal with the current situation and to be better prepared for any future fires, G-d forbid.

Donations may be made via the Emergency fire appeal

Help us to maintain the Eruv

For over 13 years, every week, irrespective of weather conditions, the Melbourne Eruv infrastructure (kilometres of wires and poles which form the boundaries) is physically inspected.

Where necessary a team of Contractors are on standby to carry out immediate repairs thereby ensuring it is kosher to the highest

standards and can be relied upon for the forthcoming Shabbat.

The Supervision and maintenance of the Eruv is very expensive and requires your assistance.

Donations can be made to:

Melbourne Eruv Pty Ltd, PO Box 9 Balaclava Victoria 3183 or paid directly into the Bank Account of Melbourne Eruv BSB: 083 510 Account: 691804584
